• A unique combination 2 in 1 Japanese pull cut saw.
• The blade is split into 2 sections with 2 different types of teeth. The blade is clearly marked to remind you how to use each section.
• Dozuki Saw: The first section is known as a Dozuki saw, which has a rigid spine running along the top of the blade. It keeps the blade straight during the pull cut and therefore allows an incredibly thin plate to be used: Only 0.27mm. Working with such a thin blade requires very little effort from the user and therefore increases the precision level which can be achieved. Maximum cutting depth is 40mm
• The Dozuki blade is most commonly used for precision cutting such as for dovetailing, tenoning, cross-cutting, box making and general cabinet making.
• Flush Cut Saw: The second section of the blade is used as a flush cut saw. It is not covered by the spine, so the blade is allowed to bend and flex, giving the ability to make a flush cut across a surface of timber. The teeth in this section have a ‘zero set’ (they are perfectly in line with the blade plate), so when flush cutting it will not leave a mark on the surrounding surface to the cut. The extra flexibility also give it the ability to access tight corners.
• The Flush cut saw is specifically designed for the flush trimming of wooden dowels and plugs.
• The blade fixes to a traditional Japanese rattan wrapped wooden handle that offers fantastic feel and control.
