Accounts & Administration Assistant
Westcountry Woodworking Machinery is looking to recruit a full time, efficient, Accounts and Administration Assistant.
Westcountry Woodworking Machinery is a family business which has grown significantly over the last ten years. The company has committed to expansion by increasing their on-line presence, refitting their local outlet and extending their product range. The business has grown and is now looking to maximise all sales opportunities through multiple channels.
Role Objectives
- To administrate the purchase ledger
- Reconciliation of purchase invoices to purchase orders using in house AI process
- To administrate the sales ledgers and reconcile receipts
- Reconciliation of sales counter payments
- Assist with shipping expenditure, analysis and identifying surcharges
- Communicate with suppliers for purchase order queries
- Strictly monitor monies owed by suppliers, or third parties
You will have
- GCSE English & Maths
- Basic computer skills
- Good working knowledge of accounts software
- A self-motivated attitude
- A flexible approach enabling you to prioritise tasks as necessary
- Good time keeping
- The ability to get to the workplace and have reliable attendance
Desirable requirements
- Familiarity with Sage Accounts
- Experience working in a small business environment
- Demonstrate experience of being able to take the initiative
- A willingness to pitch-in on all levels to grow a busy business
- Approachable, good humoured personality
Hours of work (40 hrs/wk)
- Monday – Friday 8am-4.30pm (with 30mins lunchbreak)
Holiday
- 28 days per year including Bank Holidays
Rates of pay
- To be discussed at interview depending on experience and knowledge
